Many anti-OWS folks think the protestors are lazy because they go protest in the streets instead of working, which would solve their problems. The protestors are the ones being painted as greedy, idle, pampered, and opportunistic - because they prefer to sit around and whine about how the world is unfair, waiting for handouts from our taxes.
Until you realize that the protests are addressing greedy, idle, pampered, and opportunistic bankers who sit on their asses and wait for handouts from our taxes, in return for crippling us. Shutting up and working your shift at Wal-Mart won’t make that go away.
The anti-protestors have scorned the “small” crowds protesting, yet belittle those who do go. Of course the crowds would be bigger if others weren’t busy working (or looking for jobs)… or afraid to show solidarity, lest they lose those jobs.
I think I need to do more; I’ll come up with something…
